2. 5 seat FRP electric boat Production Process 

  1. Prepare all raw materials, cut the FRP fiberglass cloth to the required size, and mix the colored gelcoat resin with the curing agent in the specified ratio.
  2. Apply a uniform layer of the mixed colored gelcoat to the corresponding positions inside the hull mold.
  3. After the first layer of colored gelcoat dries completely, lay the FRP fiberglass cloth and brush unsaturated polyester resin over the laid cloth.
  4. Place anti-corrosion wood keels at key parts of the hull to enhance structural strength. Then lay another layer of FRP fiberglass cloth and brush unsaturated polyester resin again. Repeat the process of laying fiberglass cloth and brushing resin 5-7 times.
  5. Once the unsaturated polyester resin on the hull is fully cured (approximately 10 hours), remove the hull from the mold.
  6. Join and assemble the upper and lower hulls, drill holes to install the motor, rudder, controller, and meters.
  7. Finally, install the battery, place the boat in a water tank, and test for normal operation and water tightness

3.Daily Maintenance for 5 seat FRP Electric Boat

  1. Check hull for leaks and tighten loose screws after daily operation.
  2. Clean cabin garbage and automatic drains are unclogged.
  3. Check battery level and recharge promptly if low.
  4. Test-run the boat to confirm normal operation of all systems.

4.Repair Methods for Hull Holes and Leaks

  1. Move the boat to dry ground, locate the holes, clean the surface and scrape off the gel coat resin layer.
  2. Expose the fiberglass layer, lay new fiberglass cloth over it and apply unsaturated polyester resin.
  3. Apply the fiberglass cloth and unsaturated polyester resin to both the interior and exterior of the hull, adding multiple layers.
  4. After full curing, use a grinder to smooth the repaired surface, then apply putty and sand it flat for finishing.
  5. Paint the repaired area after the putty cures completely.
